Sat in local coffee shop drinking tea, as one does in a coffee shop, anyway I sit near the window because the light is fabulous and often times something to see..

..and see something indeed I did, through the thick glass of the cafe window across the pavement and through another window I saw a girl sat with her mum waiting for her bus journey to begin. P1580714 Then she saw me too and squashed her face against the window and I got my shot of the day.P1580715

The bus left and I sat there happily drinking my tea knowing I had caught a great expression from the girl on the bus.

Drapes

Out and about in Manchester at weekend and looking for one thing found something else..

The bright pink of the walls and ghostly torn drapes made me stop and exhale a sigh of sheer happiness and excitement. How could I not? Well you would too wouldn’t you?  This wall, these windows and the fabulous torn sheer drape are what makes me really believe art is everywhere and everything is photographable.

The Telephone Exchange

Love this dated vintage window design of the Blackpool Telephone Exchange on Edward St.P1310673I remember when I first saw them…well noticed them really, early 70s I think…I was convinced the decoration was made up of small wooden blocks and had to go and run my hands over them to realise that they are actually made of what feels like brick

Thought I’d add them to this growing list of quirky things that I keep finding in Blackpool..a window isn’t only for looking through sometimes it’s a piece of art all on its own.
