Overheard conversation about the beautiful endless grey light we often find on the prom in Blackpool, the cool damp fog creating a colorless wall making it hard to define where the sky ends and the sea starts…or as a friend called it ‘The Horizon Mislaid’
Well Blackpool is always full of surprises and great photo ops and yesterday was no different than any other Saturday…pink bikes, wall art, old signs, Stags & Hens everywhere and then I saw these two lovely ladies dressed up made up and curled up too! The Scouse ‘Fashion Statement’ of going out with your hairContinue reading “Status Curlers”
Another shop in town has closed and passing there today I noticed all the chairs had been stacked and placed in the empty window space, of course this caused me to stop and ponder…the light , position of chairs, dirty window.. then I saw it..the wall clock was balanced on the chairs and had stoppedContinue reading “Quarter past 8”

The beautiful central staircase at The Museum of Liverpool this weekend, black, light, curves and lines reminding me of the magnificent Bramante Staircase in the Vatican Museum.

With the right advertising and in the right setting an everyday ordinary object such as a coat hanger can become an extraordinary piece of art. Found while out on the streets of London…how could I resist? In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “(Extra)ordinary.”
Manchester is always a pleasure to visit and this ‘retro televisions & filing cabinets’ cut out and paste urban art certainly caught my eye in the northern quarter last weekend. Love the little ornaments too!
