JD2 in Blackpool

Just a few of the hundreds of images of the thousands of fans from yesterday’s Judgement Day 2 in Blackpool.

Signature Signs

More meanderings around back streets and I happened upon this distinctive mark clearly indicating the identity of where I was. A characteristic sign reflected in the windows of yet another closed shop.

Status Curlers

Well Blackpool is always full of surprises and great photo ops and yesterday was no different than any other Saturday…pink bikes, wall art, old signs, Stags & Hens everywhere and then I saw these two lovely ladies dressed up made up and curled up too! The Scouse ‘Fashion Statement’ of going out with your hairContinue reading “Status Curlers”

Abandoned Pink

The chances of finding a pink plastic tricycle left abandoned in front of a pink wall are remote but find one I did on the backstreets of the backside of Blackpool. Once again the town surprises me with it’s treasures or maybe it’s just me that sees art in the everyday.

Quarter past 8

Another shop in town has closed and passing there today I noticed all the chairs had been stacked and placed in the empty window space, of course this caused me to stop and ponder…the light , position of chairs, dirty window.. then I saw it..the wall clock was balanced on the chairs and had stoppedContinue reading “Quarter past 8”

Broad shoulders

Charlie at the Soup Kitchen, cooking, serving, cleaning often entertaining always with a kind word and a smile..I have lots of pics of Charlie but this back view of his shoulders seems to symbolize for me the work they take on and the weight they all carry.

shooting a stranger

I love street photography, I love capturing the unsuspecting public completely unawares, sometimes my images work often times they don’t but occasionally I see a face and I know, I get a feeling, that that is the face the will make my day worthwhile. This happened yesterday when I saw this lady in Blackpool..one ofContinue reading “shooting a stranger”

Noodles

Found this urban art work in Liverpool last week whilst out playing with friends, it was hidden behind a high fence but managed to climb high enough up to just catch it…couldn’t leave without it ’cause it reminds me of a group of very young petty criminals in the film Once Upon a Time inContinue reading “Noodles”

Black & Light

The beautiful central staircase at The Museum of Liverpool this weekend, black, light, curves and lines reminding me of the magnificent Bramante Staircase in the Vatican Museum.
